Meet Dr. Chelsea Gavin Lowry

Dr. Lowry’s four year post graduate degree studies included training in audiology diagnostics, rehabilitation, hearing aid fittings and counseling. She gained her clinical knowledge and expertise at a variety of New York City settings including a renowned otolaryngology practice where she performed extensive comprehensive audiological evaluations, amplification fittings, vestibular assessments as well as other electrophysiological testing.

Dr. Lowry’s rigorous academic foundation also included a research component that was completed in her last two yeas at Montclair State. Her thesis entitled The Effects of Telecoil Programming on Speech Understanding and Listener Preference in and Induction Loop System was presented in April 2015 at the New Jersey Speech-Language-Hearing Association conference.

Prior to beginning her studies at Montclair State, Dr. Lowry had received a Bachelor’s degree in Music Industry from Syracuse University. At that time, she decided to dedicate her professional career to sound and listening in a unique manner. Combining her own trained ear and her compassion to help those who are hearing impaired, Dr. Lowry brings a fresh perspective of sound and its relation to hearing aids to the practice.
