- Measurements of hearing sensitivity for air and bone conducted sounds
- Measurements of word recognition ability

Further diagnostic testing is conducted where necessary.
Hearing Aid Dispensing and Fitting
The best hearing experience begins with the best hearing aid evaluation, dispensing, programming and fitting. Your lifestyle and hearing needs are carefully considered along with your communication needs and preferences to personalize your devices. Feel free to voice your concerns so we can address your fears and expectations. Rest easy with a free trial period that includes adjustments to the fit and sound of your hearing instruments.
Hearing Aid Repair and Maintenance
Modern hearing aids have very few moving parts to break. Most problems can be cured at home with cleaning and new batteries. However, if you need repairs, Gavin Audiology is here to help. We can perform most warranty repairs while you wait. If your hearing aids need to be returned to the manufacturer, we’ll take care of that for you too.
Musician's Earplugs and Monitors
Musicians and others who practice, perform or work in high-intensity sound environments for prolonged periods need special hearing protection. Our hearing specialists can custom make earplugs that consider your special needs as a musical artist. These highly specialized devices feature sound attenuators that will not alter the quality and frequency response of sound as it decreases the decibel level.
Pediatric Audiology
Hearing is crucial for speech and language development. Testing hearing and subsequent dispensing and fitting hearing aids for infants and children requires special equipment and knowledge. Gavin Audiology and Hearing Aids uses otoacoustic emissions evaluations to test for hearing loss in infants and children that are not mature enough to respond to pure tone audiometry. Children 12 years of age and over may be a candidate for cochlear implants.
Tinnitus Treatment
Tinnitus is described as a ringing in the ear, and can range in severity. A tinnitus evaluation can help you identify how much tinnitus interferes with your daily life and if there are treatment options that can benefit you.
